Everyone registered is required to have an active Studio-Pro account.
Tuition will be posted to your Studio-Pro account on the 1st of each month. You may view your statement on your parent portal or the free app. If you need assistance accessing your account, please contact us for help.
Tuition is set based on number of hours in class each week. Our tuition is set with breaks and closures built in.
We will follow Lauderdale County Schools Calendar from August-May. We will also watch their decisions for weather related cancellations.
Summer classes will operate June-July. We will close the week following our year end recital, the week of the 4th, and the week right before school resumes.
Any class with less than 5 students registered may be cancelled at the discretion of EDC Staff.
Registration fee:
A registration fee of $30 is due at time of registration for all students, except all class pass students. Annual fee charged with enrollment each year.
Registration fees cover non-tuition essentials such as: insurance, music licenses, studio communication administration, and helps keep tuition costs lower.
Recital Fees:
There is an annual fee ($40) for Recital that covers the cost of venue, photographer, programs, and videographer.
Recital videos are an additional cost.
Recital Costumes:
Dancers will be measured for costumes in January.

Costume fees are due in full by March 1.

Level testing is $15 per test. You may test as often as you like, but payment is due prior to the test.

Class Placements
We reserve the right to determine ALL class placements. EDC Staff will make the final call on all level placements. Placements will be made based with age, ability, and dance experience in mind.
Levels may be determined by Trial Class for new students. Current students MUST level test for a level change.
The Emerald Elite Team is level tested at Auditions each season. If you would like a mid season level test you must schedule a level test.
Level testing is $15 per test. You may test as often as you like, but payment is due prior to the test.
Students will not be placed in classes ABOVE their level.
The Emerald Elite Team is chosen by AUDITION. Dancers must demonstrate maturity, positive attitude, and required skills for the group they are auditioning for. Audition does NOT guarantee a spot will be given. Learn more about the audition process below.
Students are expected to arrive for class on time. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late, they may not be allowed to enter in order to maintain the focus of other students.
Children under the age of 8 may NEVER be in the studio without parent supervision. Emerald Dance Collective is not licensed to provide childcare services.
The class schedule is subject to change. If a change becomes necessary, all families in the class will be notified.
Studio news, information, and closings will be sent through Studio-Pro and posted to our Facebook Page. You may also view the latest Studio news on the white board in the studio lobby.
Students may add classes at any time throughout the season. However, keep in mind we begin teaching recital dances in January, so if you add a class after January, your dancer may miss choreography.
If you wish to drop a class, you may do so prior to the first day of each month. There will be no tuition refund for classes dropped during the month.
If a student must withdraw from the studio, please notify our office to prevent additional charges. You will be responsible for any charges on the account at the time of withdrawal.

Parent Conduct
Please refrain from discussing students, teachers, choreography or studio-related matters in a way that may offend other parents, teachers or students in the reception area or on social media.
Parents should be supportive of all students in the studio. Negative comments and gossip of any kind regarding other dancers, parents, or studio staff will not be tolerated and may result in you being dismissed from the studio. Parents are expected to always give positive feedback and let the dancers be proud of themselves.
The studio room is off limits to all parents and siblings unless invited in. Trust in the instructors’ knowledge of dance and abilities as a teacher. The students cannot focus on dance or improve if you are right over their shoulder. We want the dancers to build confidence in themselves, and that starts with you giving them some independence in the studio.

Dancers are expected to behave in a polite and respectful way toward all teachers and fellow dancers. Students are expected to treat teachers, parents and each other with courtesy and respect at all times, including during class, at competitions, at performances, and on social media.
